Hey. I'm Julia Pepler, a graphic designer based out of Nelson, British Columbia.
I've been a design nerd since I was 14. Yep, my high school yearbook quote was literally, "Sometimes I get emotional over fonts."
I took that passion and earned my Bachelors of Design, majoring in Communication Design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in May 2018.
My focus is sustainable design. This means researching and understanding how each project is situated and what impact it will have on the planet.
I created the branding for Halifax's first zero-waste store, worked in-house at an environmental non-profit, ran an experimental magazine connecting artists around the world, and built an extensive website for a global embodiment movement.
My aim is to bring new perspectives to light and help sustainability-focused businesses grow their missions.
I am currently working as a freelance designer with projects such as website, branding, and publication design.
